This policy explains which personal data VEGOTravel collects when you use www.vego.travel or book with us, why we use it, who we share it with and what your rights are. We collect only the data we need to answer you and organise your trip.
1. Who is responsible for your data

2. The data we collect
- Contact details: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number and country, when you send a request, book, sign up for our offers or contact us.
- Booking details: travel dates, destinations, number of travellers, names and ages of the travellers, flight numbers, pick-up addresses, room and meal wishes and other details you give us for the trip.
- Visa applications: passport details and copies, photos and the documents required by the authorities, only when you apply for a visa through our visa centre.
- Customer account: your login details, bookings, requests and saved favourites. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name and email address from them.
- Payments: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive the result of the payment, never your full card number.
- Messages: what you write to us by email, WhatsApp or through the website forms.
- Use of the website: technical data such as IP address, browser, device and pages visited, through cookies and similar tools (see section 7).
Information about children travelling with you is given by their parent or guardian and used only for the booking.
3. Why we use your data
- To answer your questions and send you offers you ask for.
- To make, confirm, change and manage your bookings, and to send you confirmations and travel information (contract).
- To prepare and follow your visa applications (contract, and your consent for documents you send).
- To take payments, issue refunds and keep the accounting and tax records required by law (legal obligation).
- To keep the website safe, prevent fraud and improve our services (legitimate interest).
- To send you our newsletter and personalised offers, only if you agreed to it. You can unsubscribe at any time by writing to us or with the unsubscribe link in our emails.
4. Who we share your data with
We share only the data needed for each purpose with:
- Travel partners that organise or provide your services: tour operators, hotels, transport companies, drivers and guides.
- Authorities and their official visa service providers, for visa applications.
- Service providers working for us: Stripe (payments), our website hosting and email providers, WhatsApp (messages), Google and Facebook (if you use them to sign in), analytics and advertising tools (only with your consent) and Trustpilot (reviews).
- Partners you choose to use through our website, such as flight booking sites, travel eSIM and travel insurance providers. When you continue to their website, their own privacy policy applies.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data sent to other countries
Because we organise trips in several countries, your data may be sent to partners in Türkiye, the European Union and other destination countries, and to service providers that store data in other countries. When this happens, we use the protections required by law, such as contractual clauses, and share only what is needed for your trip.
6. How long we keep your data
- Booking and payment records: as long as accounting and tax laws require (usually up to 10 years).
- Visa documents: until the application is finished, then deleted within 6 months, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
- Requests that did not become a booking: up to 2 years.
- Customer account: until you close it.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
7. Cookies
The website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work (language, currency, login and security). With your consent, we also use cookies to measure how the website is used and to show offers that match your interests. You can accept, reject or choose cookies in the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page.
8. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you (including the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation), you have the right to:
- know whether we use your data and get a copy of it;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data or limit its use, when the law allows;
- object to the use of your data, including for marketing;
- receive your data in a common format to send it to another company;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.
To use your rights, write to info@vego.travel. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we reply within the time set by law (usually within 30 days). You can also file a complaint with the data protection authority of your country.
9. Security
We protect your data with secure connections (HTTPS), access limited to the staff who need it, and trusted service providers. Please keep your account password private and tell us at once if you think someone has used your account.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The new version applies from the moment it is published on this page.
